In the past two years, there has been an incredible download of “alarming” information about AI, aka Artificial Information. Now, please hear me out. I am not an expert in the field of AI, and this is definitely not a blog about it, but more about how AI will not be able to solve, improve, and insert itself in all things.
I am sure there will be many who will read my remarks and say, ‘She has no idea what she’s talking about and has no clear understanding of how this works.’ To you, I say you are correct. This is not within my area of expertise, and although AI has been all around me, I am not an expert in what it can and cannot do.

However, one thing I am certain of is that AI cannot replace the importance of human connection and community. We need the interconnectivity of touch, sound, smell, and taste, and AI cannot do that for us.

We are NOT robots!

We may use some of the tools that are built into robots, but those of us made out of flesh and blood, with active, communicative brain function, need others who are made up of the same.

What AI continues to demonstrate is that not all advice is good advice. That one-size-fits-all advice is not good advice. What may work for someone may not work for me. We are all made up of different circumstances. Different parents, neighborhoods, cultures, languages, skin color, educational experience, wealth, health, relationships. All around LIVED experience is different! To assume that AI can effectively adapt to our circumstances is a lie. That would imply that we are mere robots, and that is not the case.

As we learn to live with the limitations and excesses of AI, we must remind ourselves to stay connected to a human source. There will never be anything on Earth that can replace the hug, touch, laugh, smell, and taste of another human.

That makes us unique, special, and forever different.

Don’t buy into the lie that who you are and how you think is no longer viable.
