Soul of a Woman

I begin this blog with full transparency.
Transitioning to my 50s has not been easy emotionally, physically or mentally. Someone forgot to tell us that we face the rest of our lives as the end of our lives. We enter a new decade knowing we are getting closer to our last decades. With that in mind, I began a heart journey. Am I the happiest, healthiest and most prosperous? If not, how do I get there without feeling like I’m running out of time?

Hence, this blog.

I have lived a very full and colorful life and I know that entering this phase of my life should not be any different. But after taking off my dancing shoes, fancy clothes celebrating this monumental birth age, things began to get quiet and still. What happened to the fanfare, the congratulation- “you are going to live your best days yet?…

Dead Silence.

So this will be my attempt to navigate the latter years of my life with anyone who cares to read and indulge me.

But first, I have to let you know how I got here.
